Summary	New pages are immediate deleted
Description	<p>If I add a page, either by browsing to it and filling in the registration page, or manually in the database "pages" table, it is immediately removed from the db as soon as I visit the "page management" page - it won't appear in the list of pages and will no longer be in the database.</p> <p>It's only the page management page that seems to trigger this behavior. If I don't visit that page, then the entry will stay in the db, and I can browse to the newly registered page (while logged in as admin).</p> <p>But visit the user management page, and boom, it's gone.</p> <p>I'm using 4.3.25. The users/ and usersc/ directories are in the vhost root, as is the z_us_root.php file. UserSpice has its own database, with a db user which has full permissions over it.</p> <p>Help?</p>

An update: dropped the database, recreated it, re-ran the install from the start. Same issue; new pages are immediately deleted as soon as I browse to the "page management" page.

Update^2: commented out a line (show below) in admin_pages.php, and that stopped pages from being deleted. Where did you put your files that get deleted? In which folder? You didn't explain which files in which folders get deleted.

Sorry, that probably wasn't clear. No files are deleted. But the database table 'pages' is where pages are listed. When I browse to a new page (that US hasn't seen before) I get the prompt to provide details (access levels, title, etc), and then a new entry is added to that table, and to the permissions table. And at that point everything's working. I can browse to the page, and the permissions are set. But as soon as I (as admin) visit the "page management" page (/users/admin_pages.php), that new entry in the database is deleted. There's a line of code which does it - the one I noted I've commented out for now - but I'm not clear on why it does it, whether it's safe to leave it commented out, or whether I've just got something configured wrong.

Yeh I know the files don't get deletes. I am asking where you put the new files that need to stay in the database. So which file paths are your new files that get deleted when you visit admin_pages.php

If you pu anything outside of the users/ or usersc/ folder it will get deleted since those are the only 2 folders that get tracked in the z_us_root file. If you put it in a different folder inside your root folder you need to define it in the z_us_root.php file.

Ah, gotcha. The z_us_root.php file is, well, in the root. And the $path variable looks like this: <code>$path=['','users/','usersc/'];</code> Was I wrong in thinking the leading '' would include the z_us_root.php location?

Indeed. ^^ Sorry for the confusion. You do need to add every new folder you put in the root like: $path['','users/','userc/','newfolder/',etc]. The first '' only checks for files and not for folders. We are working on a solution for this.

Ahah! Thanks for the help. Probably better not to check for all folders - you might end up having to implement a blacklist to stop it hoovering up a whole site. Just a comment in the default z_us_root.php file would probably suffice. "Edit $path to explicitly allow UserSpice to manage the specified folders" or something like that.
